Here Comes 30!

My 30th birthday is just around the corner (next Friday). Tonight we went out to celebrate early at a restaurant that just opened up in town...Babe's Chicken! And it was as good as I had heard! We got there at 6 PM to a nice 60-70 minute wait time. The minivan provided a very nice place to hang out and feed Sydney while we waited. It's already living up to what we bought it for...space!

My Dad (aka Grandpa B) was there in all his grandpa glory, and Sydney loved it! Patricia was there, as she has been for so many years. Her friendship means more to me than she will ever know. Connie and Julio were there. It still amazes me that 12 years ago my path crossed with Connie's over the Internet when Nick and her husband Julio were at Fort Sill for basic training in the Army around the same time. She was living in Florida at the time, and if someone would have bet me a million dollars that a few years later she would be moving to Texas I would've lost a chance at a million dollars! Truly special. Rene and Dwight were there, and Sydney found a new dancing buddy in Dwight. Nick will have his eye on him now! :)  Rene is such a sweetheart and I'm so thankful to call her my friend.
