Plans you ask? Well, Nick is working tomorrow but we are going to meet up for a family lunch. For some reason he keeps hinting that I must pick the place. It is OUR anniversary...so I'm somewhat deliberating if I want to pick. He always makes me pick where we eat.
Saturday Sydney is spending the night with cousin Remi, Aunt Amanda, and Uncle Dan. It will be her first time to hang out with them sans mommy and daddy. Hopefully she won't be too much trouble. We have a $25 gift certificate to a restaurant by our house that we are going to use, either for lunch or a very early dinner. After that it's just going to be toddler-free time and whatever we want to do!
We wanted to spend the weekend at a hotel but frankly the prices are just too expensive for our budget. Reality knocks with the a one-income family sometimes. However, my friend Jasmine has agreed to babysit Sydney the night of the 28th so we got a fabulous deal on a hotel package for that evening since it is during the week. So we get to celebrate TWICE! I think 10 years is worth celebrating more than once. :)
That is about it I guess. No bling for me, no gifts for Nick. Just acknowledging the occasion as cost effectively as we can. If I was still working I think I probably would have planned a nice little get-away. If, if if. I hate that two letter word sometimes. It catches me day dreaming for good and for bad all the time. So many things to be thankful for this Christmas and I try my best to make sure God knows my appreciation on a daily basis.

Six years of dating and here we go down the aisle!

My parents
Nick's parents and "little" brothers
Entering the reception
See those ladies laughing in the background - love them!
They were my coworkers at the time.
Happy to say we are still dear friends 10 years later.
Making our exit to a lifetime of togetherness
