Potty Training..In Due Time

So Sydney has used the toilet twice now in three days. I am accepting that this will be a very slow process. Probably slower than it needs to be because I am not ready, and I don't feel like researching various methods to expedite the training process. I skimmed articles about the "three day" method, and "one day" method. Too much work! And just seems too forceful for Sydney right now, considering her level of interest is more curiousity than wanting to master it.
For now, she randomly says "I poo poo" throughout the day and wants to sit on the toilet. She never goes. Repeat, never goes, when she requests to sit on it. So this is somewhat a test of my patience but I am trying to endure with smiles and excitement. Trying. Very. Hard. Sometimes she asks to get down after a few seconds of sitting on the toilet, but usually she is just as happy as a lark to sit there swinging her little legs until I tell her it's time to call it done.

Yet when she actually is trying to go #2, and we see her, we rush her to the toilet and she goes just fine. She isn't that excited or willing to be rushed on it...but she doesn't cry or scream, and once we sit her on it, she goes #2! It has been nice not to be changing those diapers lately. As for peeing, I think that will be a while because she still doesn't grasp the concept of doing that in the toilet, or doing it at all I don't think. We will have to work on her learning her body's signal of needing to pee and that it can be done on the toilet as well. In due time.
