Bye Bye March, Hello April!

I'm a little hit and miss on blogging lately. March was hectic and April is starting out much the same. We had some good times and some hard times; that's life! Here is a recap of our month with enough pictures to make your head spin.

-Sydney's interest in potty training continues and we encourage it when she wants to sit on the potty. Unfortunately most of the time she thinks the toilet is to sit on and pass gas. She loves to say "poo poo potty!" and now knows how to get her toilet seat cover out of the cabinet and put it on the toilet.

-Her vocabulary and speaking abilities have changed drastically over the past month. She understands more than you would want her to so we have to watch what we say now. She loves to point out dirt or spots anywhere on the ground and say "dog poop"...she also randomly calls out "dog poop!" while grocery shopping too. Could be worse.

Granny was here for most of March and we enjoyed every minute of her visit.

She's back home now but Sydney enjoys looking at their photos together and yelling out "Ganny!"

After 8+ years in our house we gutted our flowerbeds in the front yard to start anew, since last year's summer killed most of what we had. The rebuilding process has been slow but it's coming along.

The rebuilding process has been slow mostly due to Nick working 10-15 hour days and weekends more often than I can keep count of. We make progress when we can and Sydney loves to watch out the windows.

Sydney's cousin Charlie came over to visit a couple weekends ago and I took videos of them playing and dancing. Now Sydney DEMANDS to watch "Chalie" anytime I am on the computer. It's cute, although I do wonder when she will forget that we have those videos...I'm starting to think never.

Sydney loves to try to take pictures of herself with a camera or cell phone. She will hold it in front of her face and say "CHEESE!"

Sydney loves to visit with babies! My friend Nicole stopped by with her son Hudson a few days ago.

She loves to play hide 'n seek, and call out her own name to let you know she is hiding.

Yesterday we spent over an hour in and out of the bathtub hiding from tornadoes. At 7+ months pregnant, exhausted, and extremey congested, it wasn't my ideal way to spend the afternoon but I am so thankful we are just fine. God answered many prayers.
