Monday, January 4 - back to work we went, and boy has it been a busy week. Thank goodness we are off work tomorrow!
Sunday at church I decided to buy the One Year Bible (Chronological edition). So far I am keeping up with it well. It is only 10 minutes a day…if I can’t do that, I’ll be ashamed of myself! I have never read the Bible all the way through so I’m excited to be more knowledgeable about it by December 31.
Yesterday I started my walking campaign after work. Our building is so large that our employer has mapped out what it takes to walk the first floor and make a mile, and two miles. Sarah, one of my awesome coworker’s and dear friends, is going to walk with me after work, as often as we can each week.
Speaking of walking, I need the exercise. The scale has finally moved on me. I had lost eight pounds during morning sickness, and gained four of it back. Now I seemed to have gained back another two pounds, so I’m almost approaching pre-pregnancy weight.
I know this is all natural and what pregnancy is about…but pressure is on to watch the weight! I feel like some people will judge me and talk about me no matter what…if I’m not gaining weight, or if they feel like I’m gaining too much. But, I’m just going to do what’s best for me. Nick is already very programmed to respond to my “I look fat comments”, he immediately responds, “you’re not fat, you’re pregnant”, followed by a hug. Awwww.
My friend Kelly gave me her maternity clothes this week. I went through the huge bin last night and it’s so exciting! She dresses so fabulous, and I hate clothes shopping so my wardrobe is pitiful. I’m excited to see what I look like in trendy clothes once they start fitting.
As for baby belly news, still not feeling movement yet. Eight day countdown to find out the gender! Tonight we get to meet our little nephew Remi from Rhode Island and see Nick’s brother Dan and wife Amanda. I am sure I will post another update before the weekend is up with some family pictures.
