Back to Work

Well Sydney starts her first day of daycare on Monday. I return to work on Tuesday. I imagine Monday will not be a full day as I will probably be itching to pick her up early. But dropping her off Monday allows me to go home and cry in peace rather than at work on Tuesday.

Nick has been working a lot lately (try over 13 hours on a Saturday - yuck!), so that has made some days go by really slow being at home. But when I'm holding her in my arms while she takes a nap it is such a simple, peaceful joy. In preparing to return to work I've been spoiling her all week of course, holding her with almost every nap...I'm not sure how Donna (daycare provider) will handle naptime now. Oops! Donna is a sweetheart and I know she will spoil Sydney all day long, just as I would. But it still isn't me. (insert sad face)
