New Job!

Well as of Friday July 1st I will be leaving corporate America for a new job at the Hein house, with a new boss named Sydney Michelle Hein! Last Thursday I resigned from my job to stay at home full-time. I was asked to reconsider and go part-time or telecommute, but over the weekend Nick and I agreed it was best I try staying at home full-time. So this is my last week at work.

We started Dave Ramsey's debt-free plan three years ago with the intention of giving us an option for me to stay at home when we had a child. Now we are finally giving it a go, and I am so excited! I have been in cubicle land working corporate jobs since I was 17 years old, so this is definitely a huge change for me. A few people have already expressed doubt that my ambitious personality will not be able to handle home life full-time. We shall see! As Nick says, "you can always go back to work." LOL. Sydney is the most precious gift we have ever received and I feel like I need to take advantage of our financial discipline over the past few years to give her a full-time mommy for a while.
