Activities!

Before I quit working I had found a Christian-based moms group in our area. I read about it and it looked like so much fun. So when I quit working I immediately joined. The cost is only $5 per year, totally cool! That pays for their web site. So far I have attended a few events and everyone has been super nice. Plus they organize events almost every day of the week so there are plenty of activities to get involved in to meet other moms in the area.
Today we signed up to meet everyone at Barnes and Noble at the mall for story time. The hostess read The Rainbow Fish, and afterwards we got to make fish out of cupcake paper. Sydney's favorite part was the glue stick of course, so we had to keep a close eye on her so she didn't try to eat that for lunch.

After our craft time we all went to the food court for lunch and then rode the carousel. It was Sydney's first time on the carousel and she LOVED it. She laughed the entire time, it was so cute. I was wishing I had someone to video it. I had a friend take a picture but then she had to watch her own kids so I only got one. We will definitely have to go back with Nick so we can get her on film!

Tomorrow I am hosting Bookworm Breakfast in Your PJs. All of the kids come in pajamas (and moms in comfy clothes), and we do a book exchange between kids and moms. Everyone is bringing ingredients to make pancakes, sausage and bacon. So far there are 17 moms signed up to come PLUS their kids. Oh boy!!!

Carousel time! Of course Sydney wasn't looking at the camera.
