Hostess with the Mostest

Sydney and I hosted our first moms group gathering at our house today. Oh my gosh! It was insanity. Madness. Toys E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E. Kids...everywhere. Mommas...everywhere. It started at 10:30 AM and ended around 1 PM. We cooked bacon and sausage, then pancakes; LOTS of pancakes. There were regular pancakes, blueberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, mickey mouse pancakes, heart-shaped pancakes. It was awesome! Plus we had fruit gallore, and now our fridge is full of fruit left over. Yum!
After breakfast we had a book exchange. Sydney got a book called Goodnight Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann, and I got a book by Beth Moore entitled Breaking Free.

It was overwhelming to have so many people at our house, but at the same time, it was so much fun. It was nice to be surrounded by other moms to share stories, tips, advice, and just socialize. I remembered my camera as everyone was about to leave so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but here are a few.

Amanda and her daughter Maranda. They live around the corner from us.
We will be going for walks when it gets cooler, yea!
