Considering it was Sydney's first time to ever see a soccer game in person, as well as her first time to ever try to play, she did pretty well. After the initial kick off she stood like a statue in the center of the field. Kids flew by her, the ball went right by her...and she stood perfectly still. The victory in that was no crying...baby steps!
The referee was awesome. He kept getting high-five's from Sydney and making her smile. He grabbed her hand several times and ran with her down the field chasing the other kids. Sydney got to do a kick off after one of the missed goals but I missed a picture of that. Most of the time Sydney mostly watched the other kids play while standing in the way. But she stayed on the field and didn't cry, so that was worth celebrating!
