Getting Ready

Another great report at the doctor today. Sydney passed the non-stress test with flying colors. She looked great on the sonogram and is still breathing very well. Her heartbeat was 133, but we did not find out her weight, that will be next week.

I am 2-3 cm dialated and 80% effaced, so Sydney is gearing up to make her debut! The doctor is leaning towards June 8th now instead of the 15th, but said we will play it by ear. There is still a chance Sydney could come on her own, but the doctor doesn't want to wait too long for fear of something going wrong. Right now Sydney is perfectly healthy.

I feel pretty good most of the time. I have been walking like crazy :)  The doctor's PA was surprised that I'm not swelling much, but I'm glad! I don't have any sandals other than flip flops so it's been a good thing I can still wear regular shoes at this point.

We are going to use this weekend to finish getting everything ready. We have the hospital bag halfway packed, and Sydney's bag halfway packed. We need to put together the pack-n-play. We live just five minutes from the hospital so that is a relief, just in case we do forget something, no big deal.

Our next appointment is in one week, Friday, June 4. Another non-stress test, sonogram, and exam...that's if Sydney decides she wants to wait. She might be getting annoyed enough at these tests that she decides it's time to rock and roll.
