Week 6 Begins

This morning I woke up to some cramping. Most of the time it is no big deal but some of these were a little painful. It always makes me nervous because I never know if at any given point in time one of them might be the beginning of a miscarriage. I'm not sure about the symptoms for that. But there is absolutely nothing I can do, so I just pray.

My hunger issues must have been short lived because the past few days it hasn't been a big deal. I have really tried to get my eating habits on track. I use to never care about trying to eat veggies or fruits. If I had some, great, if not, oh well. Cereal or cheese nachos was the regular dinner menu at our house. Now I'm trying to make sure I eat a more balanced diet but not over do it. Surprisingly my sweet tooth has subsided, so I'm not craving desserts all the time like usual. I hope that lasts!

This morning I'm going to breakfast with Patricia. I wish I could tell her, but I won't. It is kind of neat that Nick and I have this little secret together. :) Yesterday Nick told me he did not think it was a good idea for me to clean up George's poop in the house. George had a couple of accidents the past few days. I said NO PROBLEMO! No more poop cleaning for me! LOL. What a sweet husband.

By the end of this week Baby Hein's heart will be beating 80 times per minute. The eyes, jaws, cheeks, and chin start developing. A small bump will mark the place of a future nose. The kidneys, liver, and lungs are all starting to take shape. Crazy week it sounds like! What is even crazier is that I feel and look completely the same...you cannot tell at all! How can all that be going on and absolutely nothing is different on the outside?! I'm enjoying this time though, I know soon enough in a few months I'll be dragged into my worst fear - shopping for clothes, maternity clothes. Gives me chills.
